Onam Sangamam 2010: Great Team Work !

I think the title summarizes our Onam Programs for 2010. First of all thank God for His grace all throughout the program.

This is going to be a very short post. A detailed one may follow with more snaps.


The below photograph summarizes the spirit of participation and participants.



It was team work all the way. Lots of effort were put into direction, production, editing, implementation, practicing of the various programs, buying stuff, pookalam, selling coupons, etc. I am sure everyone enjoyed it to the fullest !


Thanks to all members of the Yuvajana Sakhyam and organizations like Sunday School, Choir etc. for their timely participation.

I am posting just a few photographs now, as there are 180+ to sort through. Will go through it and upload relevant ones later. Please post comments on the photos / events in the whole program so that it refreshes our memories !

      Onam basically celebrates the mythical king Mahabali, his golden rule and his sacrifice. It welcomes the spirit of King Mahabali and assures him that his people are happy and wish him well. onam 2014 will be most memorable time for kerala guyz. Dancing and sports also takes precedence this week. Certain dances like Kaikotikalli, are traditionally associated with Onam.

    Elsa as I mentioned previously, on day one itself, she knew her dialogues very well.

    Compering was great. Vineeth and Deepti did a terrific job.

    Joseph had a natural outside Kerala slang to his English, that was nice and the mother role by Preeth looked too natural. Looks like she is ready for a real life role soon :-)

    Aju had no work. Work = F X D. No movement. :-) But that is the hardest to do without blushing.

    The applause from the audience on first appearance of the Appachan and Ammachi says it all. The combo played a critical role in joining the dots in the whole program.

    Special mention about the Thiruvathira and Margamokalli team. Great performance.

    The kutties galata was sweet too.


    Biju and Anish behind the scenes, hardworking guys ! (.... chummathe paranje..)

    It looked like Regi was a catholic priest in his yesteryears. Malpan Niju and British Rajesh did well to make the program more realistic.

    Great work by Christo in choosing the right characters for the right role.

    Hope I have not missed any one else....

    Actually Anish got pissed off, because we cancelled the game, "biting the bun" !
