Lent Season : Prayer for Day One
We are entering the Valia Nombu - The 50 days fasting and prayer. We have decided to post the order of Prayer for each day on this blog. These prayers have been published by Marthoma

Cottage fellowship
Hi youth!
We welcome you all to our house this saturday for the cottage fellowship. Please find below our address and the direction:

Direction 1:
From Vijayanagar, please take the bypass road. You'll need to take the second street (on the left side of the road) after Murguan Kalyanamandapam. To be specific, the street after Neil & Nikki (kid's shop) and Univercell (mobile shop) on the opposite side. Please come to the end of the street (2 mins from the main road) to locate the house.
Direction 2:
Those who come by bus that goes to Guindy/Saidapet/T-nagar can get down at Guru nanak college stop (deluxe buses don't stop there). Please walk a little and stand on the left side of bypass road and make a call. We'll come and pick you up.

MOM & Weekend events

Last week we had our Edavaka Convention. As part of it, we also heard a wonderful message by Rev Vinod Victor who attended our Yuvajana Sakhyam Meeting. He talked to us from the Bible portion John 6:1-14 - Jesus Feeds the five thousand.
His talk covered various aspects of our life and we can ask God to teach us to share and become more humane in our outlook. He also also called us to be part of His discipliship and not just watch from a distance.
His unique style of presenting included elaborate thought in to various keywords brought out by the youth from the Bible portion. He weaved a wonderful thought around each of it. Some of the keywords are mentioned below.
We will have our cottage fellowship at the residence of Sujith and Soumya, known on the web as "SandS" couple :-). It will be held on Saturday, March 5th. Let us all prayerfully attend it especially because it is the beginning of the Lent Season.
Biju / Sujith will send details about the location. Their house is in Velachery.
50 Day Lent :
Lent is the preparation of the believer — through prayer, penitence, almsgiving and self-denial — for the annual commemoration during Holy Week of the Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord and svaiour. The 50 days fasting during lent season begins from Sunday- March 6th . It willl end with Easter on April 24, 2011. Let us observe it meaningfully.
